Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using the We For You website, account and services. Separate terms may also apply to purchases, events or professional services.

About these terms

By using this website or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Contact hello@weforyou.org.uk if anything is unclear.

Accounts and eligibility

  • Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
  • Use only your own account and permissions. One account may hold several legitimate roles.
  • Children and young people may use only services suitable for their age and with parent or guardian involvement where required.

Wellbeing and mental-health information

Our articles, courses, mood tools and automated responses provide general education, reflection and signposting. They are not a diagnosis, medical advice, psychotherapy, emergency monitoring or a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional. A mood check-in is a personal reflection tool, not a clinical assessment.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call the local emergency services. In the UK, call 999 or go to Accident & Emergency. For urgent mental-health support that is not an immediate emergency, contact NHS 111 and select the mental-health option where available. Do not rely on this website for an emergency response.

Professionals, bookings and services

Public profiles may describe a professional’s verification status, qualifications and scope. Verification means evidence was reviewed against our process; it is not a guarantee of outcome or an endorsement beyond the stated scope. You remain free to ask questions and decide whether a service is suitable.

Appointment availability, cancellation arrangements, fees and any service-specific terms are shown during booking. Professionals must work within their competence, registration, insurance and agreed scope. Purchases from the Books & Digital Resources shop are also governed by our Shop Terms and Refunds.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law, threaten, harass, discriminate against or exploit another person;
  • post unlawful, misleading, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative or privacy-infringing material;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications or authority;
  • try to bypass access controls, probe security, introduce harmful code, scrape protected information or disrupt the service;
  • use another person’s private information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission; or
  • copy, share or resell paid or restricted resources except where the relevant licence permits it.

We may moderate or remove content and restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or enforcement of these terms.

Content and intellectual property

We For You and its licensors own the website, branding and materials unless stated otherwise. We give you a limited, personal, revocable and non-transferable permission to use them for their intended purpose. Content you submit remains yours, but you give us permission to host, display and process it as needed to provide and moderate the service. You must have the right to submit it.

Third-party services and links

The website may use or link to services such as payment providers, video platforms, calendars and external information sources. Their own terms and privacy notices apply when you use them. A link does not mean we control or endorse everything on the external site.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service accurate, safe and available, but do not promise uninterrupted access or that every item will always be complete or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from personal use.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Ending access and changes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close access where necessary because of serious or repeated misuse, risk to others, legal requirements or discontinuation of a service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to raise concerns. We may update these terms and will show the current date on this page.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK or Europe, you also keep any mandatory protections given by the law where you live. The courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes. Please contact hello@weforyou.org.uk first so we can try to resolve a concern.
