I reverted to Islam in 2015 and even though South Africa is very open to Islam, my little town is very backwards when it comes to religion - even in the churches, Islam is belittled and joked about - Astaghfurallah. I still feel much like an outsider and often must hear how disappointed others are in me for choosing Islam. May Allah SWT unseal their hearts and ears and bring them to Islam too.
Conversely, the local mosques have teeny tiny women’s sections which means I’ve not been able to go to mosque and i have no Muslim friends closeby. This is how the sisters at We For You, have truly become sisters to me as they have welcomed me - with all my quirks 🤣🤣 - into their hearts, may Allah SWT reward each and every one of them!
