Salam Alaikum dear Sisters,🌸
I hope you are all feeling well today.

When I was a child, I had pen pals from Korea, the USA, and other countries. We eagerly waited for their letters, learned about different cultures, and built friendships across the world. My grandmother also wrote letters to her dear friend throughout her life, until death parted them. I still remember the joy and excitement of receiving those letters.

Times have changed. Today, instead of waiting weeks for a letter, children can connect instantly through internet. Technology has made it easier than ever for kids from different countries to meet, share experiences, and build meaningful friendships.

At the same time, I believe writing is still incredibly important. There is something special about choosing your words carefully, putting your thoughts on paper, and waiting with excitement for a letter to arrive.

I encourage all parents to write and to inspire their children to write as well. Letter writing builds creativity, patience, communication skills, and meaningful connections that can last a lifetime. Writing itself can be therapeutic. In a world of instant messages, a handwritten letter is a thoughtful gift that children will remember and treasure for years to come.

One beautiful reminder of the importance of writing is found in our faith. According to an authentic hadith, the first thing Allah SWT created was the Pen, and He commanded it to write.
Writing is far more than putting words on paper. It allows us to express our thoughts, preserve our memories, share wisdom, and leave behind something beneficial. It is because of writing that the knowledge of those who came before us has been preserved. Through writing, we have inherited the Qur’an and the Sunnah, the works of great scholars, the discoveries of scientists, family histories, and the wisdom of our ancestors. Without writing, much of this precious knowledge would have been lost. By encouraging our children to write, we are helping them become part of this beautiful legacy and preparing them to leave something beneficial for future generations, InshaAllah.

At WeForYou, we’re bringing back the spirit of pen pals, only faster, more engaging, and designed for today’s digital world. 🌍

This Saturday, we’re hosting a special Zoom event for kids from around the world!
It will be a fun and interactive colouring session where children can express their creativity, share their artwork, meet new friends from around the world, and enjoy meaningful conversations. We hope these new connections will inspire friendships that may even continue through thoughtful letter writing.

As a mom, my priority is always safety. That’s why every WeForYou Zoom event is carefully supervised to ensure it remains a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for every child.

I would be delighted for your children to join us this Saturday as we encourage creativity, communication, confidence, and kindness while creating happy memories together. We look forward to welcoming them, InshaAllah. ❤️

May Allah SWT bless our children with beneficial knowledge, righteous friends, and hearts that love to learn, write, create, and connect. Ameen. 🤲🏻❤️

Best wishes,
-Maryam
