Salam Alaikum sisters. 🌸 Hope you are doing well today.

We always have a choice, and changing our mindset can transform how we experience daily life.

Today about: DO WE WANT TO, OR DO WE HAVE TO?

Today, once again, I caught myself explaining to sister how much I need to do—from household chores to daily routines, from work commitments to even managing my own mood.

But do I really need to vacuum the floors, feed the kids, take packages to the post office, reply to emails, finish my work, and go for a walk with my child? Do I really have to?

Or maybe I want my home to be clean because I enjoy being in a tidy space. Maybe I care about my health and my kids’ health—I certainly don’t want any of us to go hungry. Maybe I want to make someone happy with a letter or solve an issue. Maybe I want to earn my salary so I can buy something meaningful. Maybe I want to spend more time with my child.

THE TRUTH IS: YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING
Absolutely nothing. You don’t even have to overthink, because everything you do, you do because you choose to. Otherwise, you wouldn’t do it.

You can change everything in this very moment.
• You can quit the job you don’t want to go to.
• You can stop doing things that don’t bring you joy.
• You can cry for an hour if that’s what you need.

PAUSE FOR A MOMENT. Look around. Reframe everything that weighs you down, everything that frustrates you, everything that makes you restless. Instead of seeing it as an obligation, see it as a choice. “I want to” rather than “I have to.”

Be grateful:
• For the opportunity to work.
• For the hands that cook and bring joy to your family.
• For the ways your actions help others.

Now ask yourself again: Do you really have to? If you don’t want to, don’t do it.
Do it when you want to.

Don’t take out your frustration on others.
How often do we think, “I have to clean the house—so why isn’t anyone helping?”

I used to believe that when I wanted to clean, everyone at home should follow my lead. Why should I be the only one working hard while no one appreciates what I do? I’d force my family and in the end, everyone was annoyed—including me.

But then I realized: I am the one who wants this. I choose to do what I want.

When I shifted my perspective from “I have to” to “I want to,” everything changed.

🌸I started to do everything in my own pace.
🌸My steps felt lighter.
🌸The work in my hands didn’t feel like a burden anymore.

Many people will ask, ‘But what should I do if I don’t want to but I have to work because I have no money to survive ?’
I’ll text you in the next messages.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed week ahead. ❤️
