Salam Alaikum sisters, hope you are feeling well today. 🌸🤗
Today will give you one powerful method about managing our reactions in the face of criticism or tension, especially in our close relationships ( with husband, kids, parents, work colleagues ect.).
So today about: MUTED INTONATION
When someone says something that feels critical, remove the emotional tone or frustration from their voice in your mind. This helps you hear the words as neutral statements, rather than feeling attacked.
Don’t rush to respond defensively. Instead, take a moment to assess the situation.
For example, if your husband comments: “House is messy again!”
REMOVE INTONATION FROM HIS STATEMENT and PAUSE, and simply CHECK if that’s true without letting emotions take over your response.
When we take a step back, mute the emotional tone, and focus on the facts, we can respond calmly and avoid exaggerating the situation.
If it’s true, acknowledge it calmly: “Yes, the room is messy.” This neutral response prevents escalation.
If there’s a statement like “You never clean!😡”
PAUSE AND REFLECT Is it true? If not, you can calmly correct it, like: “I remember cleaning several times in the past 10 days.”
It’s all about being mindful, HERE AND NOW, focusing on facts, and choosing whether or not to respond, while maintaining emotional control.
REMEMBER! Wise people never rush to respond. Stay present, be mindful of the moment, and if needed, use deep breathing 😮💨 to ground yourself. This allows you to respond more thoughtfully and communicate better.
We will be having a class about communication what I believe its a key to solve problems, conflicts and improve relations.
Wishing everyone peace and wisdom. ❤️
Have a blessed Friday and may Allah SWT accept your duas🤲🏻
