Salam Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters. Hope you are all feeling well today.
Today, let’s talk about LEADERSHIP in the home. One of the biggest problems in marriages is when a husband does not take on his role as a leader, and the wife overtakes it. When this happens, the natural balance shifts, leading to confusion, frustration, and exhaustion for both partners. The husband may feel disempowered, and the wife may feel overburdened—neither fully stepping into their natural roles.
🔹 Let’s reflect—are we aligning our roles in a way that brings balance and harmony to our homes?
If there is no peace, balance, or harmony at your home something needs to be change. ‼️This means that neither the husband’s leadership nor the wife’s obedience is working properly. The problem is not the roles themselves, but how they are applied.
Leadership without wisdom leads to oppression, and obedience without trust leads to resentment. True balance comes when both spouses understand their roles, work together, and prfioritise the well-being of the family.
Leadership is Not a Dictatorship—It’s a Responsibility
Leadership is not about control but about wisdom, fairness, and care. There must be ONE LEADER in the home—you can’t both sit on the throne. A husband and wife are a team, not competitors.
✅ *A true leader listens*—he values his wife’s and children’s opinions but takes final responsibility before Allah SWT.
✅ *Men’s leadership and women’s support must work together*—this is not about dominance but about responsibility and accountability.
*So, Women, Be Wise*‼️
Don’t be afraid—let your husband make mistakes. Men learn through experience, and mistakes are part of their growth. Don’t constantly point them out—they naturally recognise when they are failing. What a man truly needs is the unconditional support of his wife. When he feels trusted and supported, he grows into a stronger, wiser leader for the family.
Men: If You Struggle with Leadership, Learn & Grow
Leadership is a skill—it can be developed. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led with patience, wisdom, and kindness. If you struggle, reflect and improve—Allah SWT has entrusted you with this role.
Women: If Following Leadership is Hard, Reflect on Why
Do you struggle with trust, past experiences, or misunderstanding leadership? A successful marriage requires trust and responsibility.
If you chose this man as your husband, you agreed to go under his guardianship and leadership.
Men: If You Chose Her, You Chose to Listen and Lead
A husband must listen, lead wisely, and make final decisions with care. Your choices affect your family, and you will be held accountable before Allah.
When a husband leads with Islamic values, and the wife respects that leadership, the home thrives in peace, unity, and faith.
💡 Let’s strive to build homes with wisdom, trust, and harmony.
✨ May Allah bless our marriages with love, guidance, and barakah. Ameen! 🤲
