Salam Alaikum sisters. 🌸I hope you all are doing well today.
Today I would like to text few questions and answers.
1. What do you think about the parenting methods in the show "Supernanny"?
Scary and sad 😔 It is surprising that it is still shown when it’s so strongly contradicts what is known about natural child’s development.
2. 2.3 years old child purposely throwing toys and looking to my eyes. So much I explained still behaviour continues.
I offered to throw balls, but it’s not helping.
Natural and important part of development.
And what was explained?
Was it taken in mind the fact that the child cannot control his own impulses at that age?
If a child throwing toys is it actually dangerous or you just not like it?
If it's dangerous, or the toys can break, maybe it worths to take such toys away for now?
3. My son 1.5 years old, he doesn't want to wear any shoes at all....
My daughter didn’t want to wear shoes as well. Some kids even older kids doesn’t like to put coats, put gloves ect.
I didn’t force.
Only in the city or where is not safe -where could be sharp glass, other dangerous things choice was either shoes either buggy/stroller.
Now I would allow even to go to snow bare feet, wouldn’t worry as I’m sure she wouldn’t stay long in a cold😊
Parents usually worry if a child won’t dress will get sick and many of them fighting with kids for dressing and even eating. Bribing, threatening, punishing ect.
I’m talking about it more in classes, but if a child doesn’t want to dress or put coat grab the coat with you and go outside. If it’s important because you seeing dangers then either shoes either buggy.
