We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum dear Brothers and Sisters, hope you are feeling well today.

Today about “YOU CHANGED!”

Life is movement. Just as a river🏞️ never stands still, we too are constantly flowing and changing. Our bodies are always renewing themselves, some cells live only weeks, others years, and over time almost everything in us is replaced.
From a psychological perspective, our inner world is also in constant motion. Experiences shape our thoughts, our values, and even the way we love. Pain can make us cautious, healing can make us gentler, learning can make us wiser. Who we were yesterday is the foundation, but not the limit, of who we are today.
We are not the same person we once were.
Even now, the “you” reading this message is not exactly the “you” from a minute ago.
So when someone says, “You’ve changed,” they are speaking the truth. We all change- sometimes in ways we notice, sometimes in ways we don’t.
The real question is:
Will I accept this change?
Will I embrace the growth in others and in myself?

Often in consultations, I hear sisters say, “He changed,” and usually the change they describe feels negative-less care, less patience, less attention. It is true that not all change feels good. But it is also true that no one remains the same forever.
When change feels “for the worse,” it is a signal for dialogue, not judgment.
Instead of only mourning who someone used to be, couples can ask:
• What has caused this shift? (stress, disappointment, unhealed wounds?)
• How can we support each other to grow in a better direction?

Not every change is positive growth, but every change is an invitation- either to address what is broken or to build something new together. So let us not stop at “He changed” or “She changed.” Let us go deeper and ask:
“Can we understand why this change happened, and can we walk together toward better change?”

That is why relationships require patience and openness. ‼️
Instead of clinging to who someone used to be, we can choose to meet who they are becoming. Instead of fearing change in ourselves, we can allow it to be a path of growth. Every new stage of life offers us the chance to renew our hearts, our minds, and our connections with one another.

Task for Couples.
Sit together in a calm space and take turns answering these questions. As always I recommend to sit and write first, then read to each other:
1. How have I changed in the past year? Each spouse names at least one change they notice in themselves.
2. What change have I noticed in you that I appreciate? Speak it kindly, as a gift.
3. What change has been challenging for me to accept? Share gently, without blame, and listen without interrupting.

Finally, close by saying:
“I accept that you are growing and changing, and I want to grow with you towards better me.”

This practice reminds couples that change is natural, and choosing to accept it deepens love and understanding.
Remember, change is not betrayal. Change is life. May we have the wisdom to accept it with love and to walk together in grace through the river of becoming.🤲🏻

Wishing everyone peace, growth, and love on the journey of change.☀️
