Today about INNER CHILD AND OUR ANGER

When we shift into anger, it is often our inner child speaking from a place of past pain.

That moment when we yell at our child it is rarely about the spilled juice or the ignored request. More often, it is a cry from our own past hurt.

Our inner child remembers:

• Moments when we felt powerless
• Times when we were yelled at
• Situations where we felt we had to be “perfect”

• When we afraid

All our attempts to please, to be perfect, were about safety and belonging. Now, when our children trigger those same feelings, we react by grabbing onto control, anger, or power—defending ourselves to avoid feeling of same helpless pain.

Healing begins when we recognise:

• Our triggers are memories stored in our bodies
• We react from the pain of old wounds
• Our anger protects that hurt inner child
• We can nurture ourselves first, and then raise our children differently

Remember: our triggers are our teachers.

You don’t need more sabr, you need to be more conscious about yourself. Treat yourself with compassion, patience, self-reflection, forgiveness, gratitude, love and gentleness in your inner dialogue. Don’t forget to rest❤️🌸
