Salam Alaikum sisters.🌸 Hope you all are feeling better and better InshaAllah.

Today about ACTIVE LISTENING. Are you using it in your daily life?

I would like to share funny video with a good information within.😊

Active listening is about fully focusing on, understanding, responding to, and remembering what the other person is saying. It involves not just hearing the words but also paying attention to non-verbal cues, such as tone of voice, body language, and emotions behind the message. Active listening requires giving the speaker your full attention, without interrupting, and demonstrating empathy and understanding.

❤️Active listening is about being here and now. ❤️

It’s is very important to name a child’s emotions because it helps him/her understand and express what he/she is feeling. When you label kids emotions, it gives them the vocabulary to communicate better and helps them feel understood.

The most important thing is to name your child’s emotions, or describe what you’re seeing. You can ask your child, ‘It looks like you’re feeling angry. What’s making you feel angry?’

But if a child doesn’t want to respond or pushing you away don’t force him to speak.

Let him know you’re there for him when he’s ready to talk, but allow him to process his emotions in his own time.
Example: “I understand you might need some time alone. I’m here if you want to talk later.”
Stay calm and patient. ❤️

Enjoy weekend. 🌸
