Salam Alaikum sisters. 🌸
How are you feeling today?
Today about:
How to Communicate with People Who Drain Your Energy
Sometimes you may meet people who, without even realising it,
bring sadness, anger, tension, or exhaustion into your life.
And sometimes, it may even be your own family members —
those closest to your heart — who behave in ways that drain your energy.
They are not always bad or intentionally harmful.
Often, *they are simply carrying their own unhealed pain*—
and deep inside, they are almost always carrying FEAR:
• Fear of not being loved.
• Fear of being abandoned.
• Fear of not being good enough.
*They project this fear without realising it*—
but you do not have to absorb it.
Sometimes we are mirrors for each other —
their pain reflects our old wounds, and our calmness reflects what they are missing.
There are many ways to avoid such energetic attacks:
change the subject of the conversation or turn everything into a joke.
The most important thing is to do it in a way that does not offend the other person — so that you don’t accidentally ‘give’ them the negative energy they are seeking.
• Stay Calm:
Let your words be few, soft, and steady. Speak with kindness, not with reaction.
• Guard Your Heart:
Stay connected to Allah SWT. Whisper dhikr silently:
“Ya Allah, protect my peace.”
• Set Gentle Boundaries (Speak Only About Yourself):
When you need to say something, ONLY speak about your own feelings —
without blaming, attacking, or judging them.
For example:
“I am feeling tired right now, and I need some quiet.”
“I feel overwhelmed and need a little space.”
Never accuse: “You are too negative” or “You make me feel bad.” ‼️
Only speak your own truth with softness.
• Respond Without Absorbing:
*Let their sadness, anger, or fear flow past you — not into you.*‼️
• See Them with Mercy:
Imagine them as tired souls struggling to remember their own light.
Pray silently:
“Ya Allah, heal their heart. Ya Allah, replace their fear with peace.”
And within yourself, whisper gently: “Peace, peace.”
Protecting your peace is an act of mercy — for yourself and for them.
You do not have to fight darkness — just shine your light.
The more you practice calmness, truthfulness, and remembrance of Allah SWT,
the more you will walk with dignity, grace, and divine protection, InshaAllah.
Wishing everyone a nice week ahead. Follow your natural circadian rhythm. ❤️
