We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️
Salam Alaikum dear sisters,
I hope you are all doing well ❤️
Today, a reflection about our thoughts and our mind.
What we constantly think about shapes how we live- not magically, but because our thoughts influence our choices, reactions, and behavior. Islam reminds us that Allah SWT does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.
Our thoughts are not just background noise; they shape our inner state, and our inner state shapes our reality. When we expect hardship, we often experience it. When we carry fear or self-doubt, life reflects it back to us, not as punishment, but as a mirror.
Thoughts work silently.
Often it’s not what we say out loud, but the automatic inner dialogue we repeat daily, the familiar phrases we no longer question. These patterns shape our reactions, our boundaries, and our relationships.
That’s why true change doesn’t begin with forced positivity or pretty words. It begins with honest reflection, something Islam strongly encourages:
• What do I truly believe about myself and my life?
• What do I accept as “normal” for me?
• How harsh am I with myself?
• Are these beliefs truly mine, or ones I inherited and never questioned?
When we answer honestly, change begins, not suddenly or magically, but slowly and steadily. Allah’s SWT wisdom unfolds gently through awareness, intention, and action.
Try this, dear sisters, starting today, as an act of self-care:
• One week of avoiding criticism of yourself and others
• One week of speaking kindly to yourself
• One week of gratitude for everything, even the small things
• One week of releasing control over what is not in your hands and trusting Allah’s SWT plan.
And add one simple task to become more aware of your thoughts:
For one day, simply observe your thoughts without judging them. When a negative thought 💭 appears, pause and ask yourself: “Is this truly a fact, or just an old habit of thinking?” Then gently replace it with a short du‘a or a kind, compassionate sentence toward yourself, such as “Allah SWT is with me” or “I am doing my best.”
You will feel the difference.
Stay healthy, radiant, and deeply joyful.❤️
