Salam Alaikum sisters, how are you feeling ?
Thank you for participating in yesterday’s experiment. Thank you for your family members to telling their thoughts too. My Salam and thanks to them. 🌸
As you can see each person having their own thoughts, understanding, view point, opinion…
Some of you saw boat, some books, some journey, reading… ect.
And you all are right and at the same time we all don’t know what exactly does it mean and what author of this painting wanted to say, so we all might be wrong. We seeing details and formatting interpretations based on our own knowledge, how we understanding things, imagination, what emotions, feelings having that moment and what does it mean for us, ect.
So when we are in relation ( any relation) it’s very important consciously understand that another person can have different understanding and opinion about same thing, event and world itself.
If we learn to listen and hear, and see what another person trying to communicate, especially if he/ she is emotional we will be able to understand person’s perspective and view points. So instead of pushing our own truth, and fighting who is right and who is wrong we should learn more to listen, name emotions and name what we see and ask open questions. “Tell me more about it”, “ What do you wish would happen…” , “ What do you think… What made you think like that or behave like this…?”
Also ask clarifying questions, it will help you to understand correct information: “If I correct understood you would like…?”, “Did I hear you say… ? “When you said ........ what did you mean? “Could you please repeat ...?”
Also if we learn to communicate clearly and without pushing our own truth one way, and taking things personaly we will be open minded and easy we will connect and emphasise with another person.
So how all this related with rules/boundaries and consequences/ punishments for kids will write next time InshaAllah.
Now, conciously use more open questions in your daily life and ask clarifying questions, see how your kids and other people understanding same things in same world.
Here is one more picture for you and families. Just this time share your thoughts in your family.
