Sometimes we ask ourselves: “How did people deal with these struggles before?”
In earlier times, people lived in tribes and close-knit communities. Women stayed at home with their children but had constant communication with neighbors, relatives, and trusted friends. Men were supported by their tribal network, and community members looked after each other.
Today, the structure of our communities has changed- people live more isolated, often not even knowing their neighbors, and trust between people is weaker.
It explains why sisters (and couples) today often feel isolated, compared to the natural support systems that existed in the past.
Relationships have changed, and that is why I see a huge need for support groups for couples, and especially for sisters.
