We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum dear Sisters, 🌸
I hope you are all feeling well InshaAllah.

Warm welcome new sisters who recently joined.❤️

Often we hear that we should let go of control, of a situation, or even of the past.
But rarely do we pause to understand what LETTING GO really means.

Letting go does not mean that we stop caring. It does not mean pretending that nothing happened or forcing ourselves to ignore what we feel.
Psychologically, holding on is often rooted in fear.
The fear of losing someone or something important. The fear of making the wrong choice.
The fear of being left alone or feeling that everything might fall apart.

Because of this, we are often not truly holding on to the situation itself. We are holding on to the emotion underneath it.
We hold on to the feeling of safety we once had.
We hold on to the hope that things might change.
We hold on to the fear of uncertainty.

And as long as fear is holding our heart, we will continue to hold on to things that may no longer belong in our lives.

In psychology, healing often begins when we become aware of the emotions that keep us attached. When we are able to recognise our fears without judging them, we slowly begin to loosen their grip on us.

From a spiritual perspective, Islam also teaches us something beautiful about this process.
True letting go does not mean losing control -it means learning to trust Allah SWT and His wisdom.
The Qur’an reminds us that Allah SWT is the One who knows what is hidden in our hearts and what lies ahead of us. Sometimes we hold on so tightly because we believe that if we release control, everything will collapse.
*But faith teaches us that what is meant for us will not miss us, and what misses us was never meant to be ours.*❣️

Letting go, therefore, becomes an act of both emotional awareness and spiritual trust.

It means acknowledging our fears with honesty, while also remembering that our hearts are safest when they rely on Allah SWT rather than on outcomes we cannot control.

Often the first step of letting go is very simple, to gently ask ourselves:

What fear is actually holding me here?

And when we see that fear clearly, we can begin to release what no longer brings peace to our hearts.
Because sometimes letting go is not about losing something.
Sometimes it is about making space for something that Allah SWT is preparing for us.

And in that space, healing, clarity, and peace can finally begin to grow.

Wishing you all ease and trust in Allah’s plan. ❤️
