Assalamu alaikum everyone 🌸 Hope you're all doing well.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how often it feels like there’s too much month left at the end of my salary 😅. Honestly, I don’t know about you, but sometimes it feels as if the expenses line up in a queue while the income tries its best to keep pace but simply doesn’t. And when this happens, it weighs on my heart — I feel stressed, tense, worried and even frustrated 😔, especially because I’m not living an extravagant or royal life. I’m just trying to manage day by day like everyone else.

What makes it even harder is realising how quickly we chase “more” and “better” 📈. I catch myself thinking that if I could just reach the next stage, just get that next improvement, things would feel easier… yet as soon as I reach it, that so-called “better” becomes the new normal, and suddenly it's still not enough. This cycle can be exhausting.

But in these moments, I remind myself that dunya will always demand more, and my heart needs grounding in something deeper 💛. These duas and ahadith won’t magically fix financial burdens, but they gently reshape the way I approach my worries, my gratitude, and my trust in Allah ﷻ. They remind me to look down instead of up, to appreciate what I have, to seek barakah instead of abundance, and to remember that Allah sees my efforts even when I feel stretched thin 🤲.

May Allah SWT keep us all humble, grateful, content, and at peace, and may He place barakah in our lives and our sustenance, Ameen 🌿✨.

bu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Look at those who stand at a lower level than you but don't look at those who stand at a higher level than you, for that is better-suited that you do not disparage Allah's favors.
[Sahih Muslim 2963c]

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision, and deeds that will be accepted.

Rabbana aatina fiddunya hasanatan wafil akhirati hasanatan waqina adhabannaar

Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

[Qur’an 2:201]

O my Lord! I am indeed needy of whatever good You may send to me.

Allahumma barik lana fima razaqtana wa-qina adhaban-naar. Bismillah

O Allah! Bless (the food) You provided us with and save us from the punishment of the Hellfire. In the Name of Allah.

Allahumma inni a‛oodhu bika mi-nal-ham-mi wal-hazzani, wal-‛ajzi wal-kasali, wal-jubni wal-bukhli , wa da-la‛id-day-ni, wa ghalaba-tir-rijaal

O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.

[Bukhari]

-----

Allahumma akfini bi halallika ‘an haraamika, wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaka

O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.
