Salam Alaikum dear Sisters.🌸
I hope you’re all doing well today and enjoying a peaceful weekend with your families.
In many of my recent conversations, I’ve been hearing something that really resonates -that after years of raising children or caring for others, many women start to ask themselves- “What about me? What do I really want to do now?”
And often, we hesitate. We think, “What if I choose the wrong thing? What if I make a mistake?” But remember, dear sisters -we women have always made thoughtful decisions. It’s in our nature to care, to weigh, to nurture. Yet sometimes, we forget that life doesn’t have to be just one choice.
Who said you must stick to one path forever? You can begin again, shift direction, or explore something new -not because you failed, but because you’ve grown.
Maybe you don’t know, but Dr. Virginia Apgar -the woman whose name lives in every delivery room around the world -was first a surgeon. When she was told that no hospital would hire a woman surgeon, she didn’t give up. She changed direction and became an anesthesiologist instead. That decision led her to create the Apgar Score, a simple five-point test that has saved millions of newborns’ lives.
And if you ever delivered a baby in a hospital -your baby was given an Apgar Score too.
Her story reminds us that fulfillment isn’t always found on the road we planned, sometimes, it’s waiting on the path we discover along the way.
So, whatever you choose next - make sure it’s something that fills you, not something that drains you. Do what gives you energy, meaning, and joy. Whether it’s a career, a creative hobby, or simply time for yourself -it’s all valid. You don’t have to prove your worth through one title or one role.
And remember -*whatever you choose, it’s never a mistake*.
Every choice is part of your journey, guiding you toward a fuller, richer version of yourself. *There are no wrong turns when you’re growing, learning, and listening to your heart.*💫
