Salam Alaikum, Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I pray that you are all in good health and Imaan.

While all world going crazy about Valentine’s day…
Today, I want to talk about *LOVE*—a gift from Allah SWT that brings peace, mercy, and companionship into our lives.

In Islam, LOVE is not just about emotions; it is about commitment, respect, and growing together in faith.

Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:
“And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that are signs for people who reflect.” (Surah Ar-Rum 30:21)

This verse reminds us that true love in marriage is built on sakīnah (tranquility), mawaddah (deep love), and rahmah (mercy).

But how often do we pause to REFLECT on our love and strengthen it?

A Meaningful Reflection for Couples: “WHEN DO YOU FEEL I LOVE YOU?”

Asking each other “When do you feel I love you?” can help you understand what makes your spouse feel valued and cherished.

PLEASE ASK THESE QUESTIONS YOUR SPOUSE.

1. When do you feel most loved by me?
2. What are small acts of kindness I do that make you feel appreciated?
3. What words or gestures make you feel safe and secure in our marriage?
4. When was the last time you felt truly special, and how can I bring that feeling more often?
5. How can I support your dreams while we walk this journey of deen and dunya together?
6. What is one thing I can improve to make our love stronger for the sake of Allah?

Practical steps strengthen your LOVE to spouse:

• Express Gratitude: The Prophet ﷺ said, “The best of you are those who are best to their wives.” (Tirmidhi)
• Prioritize Affection: Even small moments of kindness, like a loving glance or a warm smile, bring barakah.
• Make Dua for Each Other each day: Ask Allah SWT to increase love and understanding between you.
• Spend Quality Time Together: Whether it’s a walk, a heartfelt conversation, or praying together, strengthen your bond.
• Resolve Conflicts with Mercy: Differences are natural, but how we handle them with patience and wisdom matters. (I will text you more about it Inshallah).

Love in marriage is a continuous journey, not a destination.

By understanding each other’s hearts and intentions, we can make our love stronger—not just in this dunya, but also as a means to reunite in Jannah, In Sha Allah.

May Allah bless our marriages with love, mercy, and endless barakah. Ameen.🤲🏻

Have a blessed Friday☀️
