We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Assalamu Alaikum Dear Sisters,🌸 I hope you are all feeling well today.

I came across this beautiful thought:

“Don’t tell God how big your problems are. Tell your problems how great God is.”

I love the meaning behind it, although from an Islamic perspective, I would paraphrase it slightly.

We should tell Allah SWT about our problems, our fears, our pain, and everything that feels too heavy for us. Prophet Yaʿqub pbuh while experiencing immense grief, said:

“I complain of my anguish and sorrow only to Allah.”
Qur’an 12:86

So perhaps I would say:

*“Tell Allah how big your problems feel, then remind your heart how much greater Allah is than every problem.”*🤍

Sometimes our difficulties stand so close in front of us that we can no longer see anything beyond them. We worry about tomorrow, our families, our responsibilities, our relationships, our health and our future… and we ask ourselves:

How am I going to carry all of this?

When you stand at the bottom of a mountain, it can look enormous. It blocks the horizon, and you can begin to believe there is nothing beyond it.

Sometimes we exhaust ourselves trying to control everything, trying to solve tomorrow’s problems today, imagining painful scenarios that haven’t even happened, and eventually seeing no other possible outcome.

But perhaps this is exactly where tawakkul begins.

We don’t need to see the whole road to take the next step.

Faith isn’t only trusting Allah when everything is going well and nothing feels frightening. Sometimes faith is standing in front of the same mountain and being able to say:

*“I don’t know how I will get through this. But I trust Allah, and I know this mountain is not the end of my road.”*🤲🏻

When we look back, many of us can remember things we once thought would break us.

They didn’t.

They may have hurt us. Changed us. Made us let go something or someone. Made us grow in ways we never expected. But they did not end our story.

Clouds do not extinguish the sun - they only prevent us from seeing it for a while. ☀️

So remind the storm that it is not the whole sky.
Remind the night that it is not forever.
Remind the mountain that beyond it there is still a horizon.

And remind yourself:

*I don’t need to know the whole journey today. I only need enough faith to take the next step.*🌿

Because Allah SWT already knows what I cannot yet see.

“And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for them.”
Qur’an 65:3

May Allah strengthen our tawakkul, allow us to bring our worries openly to Him, grant us patience through our difficulties, and give our hearts peace even when we cannot yet see what lies beyond the mountain.⛰️

Ameen. 🤲🏻🤍
