Salam Alaikum, sisters🌸

Hope you all are doing well and having a blessed Ramadan. Today, I want to share a small but powerful lesson that we can teach our children—and also remind ourselves.
Even we all knowing it we often forgetting it.

✨ FACTS vs OPINIONS ✨

Understanding this difference helps children (and even adults) build confidence and not feel hurt by others’ words.

Example:

Hold a book in your hand and ask your child:
📖 *“Is it a fact that I have a book in my hand?” → wait for and answer. Yes, because it can be proven.

📖 “My book is better than yours.” → This is an opinion because everyone has different preferences.

🌤 Fact: “The sky is blue during the day.”
🌅 Opinion: “The sky looks prettier at sunset than in the morning.”

By practicing this, kids can start recognizing that when someone says, “You’re not good at drawing” or “Your shoes are ugly,” it’s just an opinion, not a fact.

🗣 If someone at school says, “Your hairstyle is not nice,” is this a fact or an opinion?
✅ It’s an opinion! Because tastes and likes are personal, and everyone sees things differently.

This simple lesson teaches kids not to take opinions personally. All people having own opinions, and it’s ok.

And for us adults—let’s remember, too: people will have different views, some will like us and our opinions , and some won’t—and that’s okay.

If certain opinions trigger us, it’s a sign we may have some inner work to do. Noticing these emotional reactions and working on them help to feel inner peace and self-confidence.

If someone reacts negatively to you or put negative emojis on your comment, remember:

✨ It’s just their opinion, not a fact.

People have different perspectives, and their reactions reflect them, not you. Some will agree, some won’t—that’s completely normal. What truly matters is how you feel about yourself and your message.

If a negative reaction triggers you, take a moment to reflect:

❓Why does this bother me?
❓Am I seeking validation from others?
❓Does their opinion define my worth?

The truth is, no one’s approval or disapproval can change your value.
Keep sharing what you believe in with confidence, and don’t let others’ opinions shake you. Your voice matters. It’s all about how you expressing and reacting.
It’s all about you.

*May Allah SWT bless you all with wisdom that helps both your kids and you to grow emotionally strong.*❤️🌙✨
