Alhamdulillah, its really good that you’ve had this type of open relationship regarding money. In my own culture, it is quite taboo for children to know about their parents’ finances. The problem herein is that you only learn about money and its value when you’re in your early 20’s and given that your brain has not even fully developed by that time, you’re more prone to impulsive decisions! Especially in today’s world where everything is NOW and waiting has become something of the past. Patience brings respect, appreciation and gratitude!
