Salam Alaikum dear sisters,🌸
I hope you’re all feeling well today.
A warm welcome to those who have recently joined our group.❤️
Here, we are learning slowly.
We’re gently aligning with our femininity, rediscovering ourselves, and exploring what helps us navigate relationships, emotions, and our inner world.
🌿 Today, I want to text you about something often forgotten: OUR HANDS
Very rarely we women mindful of our bodies, unless pain or discomfort reminds us to pay attention.
But our hands are one of the most profound parts of us, deeply connected to our being.
Our hands are often the first to hold others, and the last to let go.
Allah (SWT) has gifted us these hands not just to work, but for healing, expression, and connection.
They are full of life, with biologically active points, energy channels, and wisdom running through them.
Science shows the human body emits faint light, and fingernails shine the most.
*Even in silence, your hands radiate life.*🌟
They carry memories of holding, cooking, comforting, praying, building, and creating.
That’s why, on the Day of Judgement, our hands will speak and bear witness to what we did:
“On that Day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to what they used to earn.”
(Surah Yasin 36:65)
They are how we reach out to others.
They’re how we say “I love you” without words.
They hold our babies.
They wipe our tears.
They rise in du‘a.
They shape the world around us.
🧠 Did you know?
Newborns and young children explore the world primarily through their hands, which helps their brain develop and form deep emotional and cognitive connections.
🧠 Did you notice?
Newborns often instinctively wrap their tiny hands around their thumbs while sleeping. Why?
Because the thumb is the most vital part of the hand, it helps us grasp, hold, and protect. A natural symbol of grounding and safety.
Elders carry lifetimes of stories in their palms.
And every time we use our hands with intention, something shifts inside us.
We forgot our hands.
We forgot they carry our prayers, our softness, our strength, and the memory of generations of women before us.
Mothers, grandmothers, midwives, makers all spoke through their hands.
In Islam, our hands are not just physical tools, they are a trust (amānah).
Allah (SWT) even draws our attention to the uniqueness of our hands through fingerprints:
“Yes, We are able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.”
(Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:4)
Each fingerprint is unique a divine signature, known to Allah SWT .
We are also taught to eat with our right hand, as was the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ:
“When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for Shayṭān eats and drinks with his left hand.”
(Sahih Muslim)
And out of modesty and respect, Islam teaches that women should not shake hands with non-mahram men.
The Prophet ﷺ never shook hands with unrelated women, even during times of allegiance.
🖐️ *Everything made by hand is made by heart.*❤️
That’s not just a saying, it’s truth.
Your hands are part of your feminine essence.
They are not just a means of doing, they are a language of being.
When we use them to create, nurture, write, plant, soothe, or comfort, we speak a language that goes beyond words a language our hearts understand.
✨*A small, intentional moment for today*: ✨
• Look at your hands.
• Touch them gently. Massage your fingers, palms, and wrists with argan, coconut, sweet almond oil.
• Acknowledge all they’ve done for you in service, care, love, and effort.
• Thank Allah (SWT) for your hands and your whole body this beautiful trust.
• Reflect on how much barakah is in actions done with your hands, with sincerity.
• Value the work made by others’ hands, feel how items crafted by hand carry a different, softer, more soulful energy than those made by machine.
🌸 REMINDER for mothers:
Teach your children to roll dough, to water plants, to build with their hands and touch natural objects.
Encourage them to honor their hands and value others hand work.
Mindfulness of yourself will ground you.
Grounding begins with presence and presence begins with honoring the parts of you that are always giving, always holding, always creating.
We often chase hacks, tips, triks and upgrades…but the answers are quiet and close.
We forget that what we need
might already be in our hands.
In that what we already are gifted.
So today, be present.
Begin with your hands
Do something slow and enjoyable for yourself: write, bake, draw, or just sit with your tea and massage your palms.
Let them guide you home
*home to who you truly are.*❤️
