We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum dear Sisters 🌸
I hope you are all doing well.

A warm welcome to our new sisters joining the group. ❤️

I truly believe that every woman carries natural feminine qualities to care, nurture, support, and heal.

Many of us have either minimised these abilities or simply have not yet fully discovered the depth of our own capabilities and inner wisdom.

As a holistic consultant, I encourage each of you to reconnect with yourselves, your bodies, your intuition, and the natural tools Allah SWT has placed around us.

Healing often begins not only with medicine, but with awareness, balance, nourishment, emotional wellbeing, and learning to work with our bodies rather than against them.

🌿 “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” — Hippocrates

Did you know about “Sticky Willy” (Cleavers)?

This small, often overlooked plant, known as Galium aparine, grows almost everywhere in the world: across Europe, Asia, North America, and beyond. You’ve probably seen it in gardens, hedges, or along pathways, sticking to your clothes as you walk by.

What many consider a weed is actually a powerful healing herb.

It supports the lymphatic system, helping the body naturally detox, maintain balance and reduce swelling, it flushes sand and small stones. It is known for its gentle anti-inflammatory and skin-supporting properties.
Traditionally, it has been used to support the body during times of congestion, fatigue, and imbalance.

🌿 Dear sisters, it’s a beautiful time to refresh and support your body naturally and gentle herbs like cleavers can be a supportive addition to your routine.

🌱 Dried Sticky Willy (Cleavers) is also traditionally used for teas, tinctures, and oil-based salves for skin support.
The roasted seeds have even been used as a natural caffeine-free coffee alternative.
So if you are not able to find it in your country, you can buy dried cleavers.
Just note that for best quality and potency, dried herbs are ideally used within a few months.

Fresh cleavers can be soaked in cold water overnight and drunk the next day. You can add lemon, mint, or other herbs for taste. I personally added organic lemon. See the picture above.

This plant is safe to use but
important to know about children and those who are on medication💊.
I personally recommend focusing on teenagers and adults, as younger children naturally have strong and efficient detoxification systems, Alhamdulillah.

But keep in mind it increase urination and can have a mild laxative effect. Start with small 1-2 cups per day and observe how your body responds.

Use with caution if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you have kidney conditions. If taking medication like water tablets, blood pressure or kidney related tablets, consult your doctor as it’s mildly increasing urination.

🌿If you are unsure how to identify the plant correctly, use a reliable plant identification app. Collect herbs from clean, unpolluted areas away from main roads
When adding ingredients like lemon or mint, choose organic where possible.

🌿*Sometimes what we overlook or even try to remove… can actually be exactly what the body needs.* Just like this plant, our healing often starts with awareness, support, and working with our body, not against it.

May Allah SWT grant us wisdom, courage, and beneficial knowledge to take care of ourselves and families in the best way.🤲🏻
