We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum dear sisters.🌸
I hope you are all doing well today.
A warm welcome to our new sister in the group.❤️

Yesterday I was talking with my mom, and our conversation naturally drifted toward self-awareness. I realised something very simple, yet very powerful:
people need to learn how to be interested in themselves.

For many, self-interest isn’t a natural skill.
So many people live on autopilot: eating, sleeping, working, walking -repeating the same cycle day after day without real awareness.
Being curious about your inner world, taking responsibility for your actions, your health, your energy, and your choices is something that must be learned.
This is where my core message comes from: mental health awareness and overall wellbeing.

No one knows your body, thoughts, or emotions better than you.
Doctors do not take care of your health for you, and psychologists cannot prevent depression for you, they can guide, but responsibility still begins with the individual.

I started getting to know myself consciously during my teenage years -my limits, my character, my health, my interests. And even now, I am still learning.
Can we ever fully know ourselves? Probably not.
We are constantly changing. And Islam reminds us of this balance, that we are created with intention, yet tested through growth and self-reflection.

Self-awareness is not selfishness. It is amanah, responsibility for what Allah SWT entrusted to us: our body, our mind, and our heart.

There are still many things we need to discover, both within ourselves and through science. And since Thursdays are dedicated to the body, this felt like the perfect moment to share something interesting about - INTERSTITIUM.

In 2018, scientists officially described what is now considered *a new human organ*- the interstitium: a fluid-filled network that supports, protects, and connects the entire body.
It acts as a shock absorber, helps move fluids, and plays a role in inflammation and healing.

*Its health depends less on supplements and more on how we live:*❗️

✔️movement and stretching
✔️proper hydration
✔️deep breathing
✔️quality sleep
✔️stress regulation

Even our emotions matter. Chronic stress tightens the body, restricts flow, and slows healing.
The mind and body are not separate - Islam has always taught us this unity.

Despite everything science has discovered, so much remains unknown: consciousness, the soul–body connection, healing, aging, regeneration.

And perhaps that humility is the point.

Allah SWT says in the Qur’an:
“And you have been given of knowledge only a little.” (17:85)

In essence, the human being is not a machine.
We are a living, interconnected system -body, mind, and soul.
So this is my reminder to you (and to myself): be curious about yourself, care for your body, tend to your heart, and take responsibility for the life you’ve been entrusted with. It is never too late to become interested in yourself.

Because self-awareness is not just personal growth,
it is an act of gratitude.

Wishing you all curiosity within yourselves and throughout life.
